Children's Privacy Notice (COPPA)

Effective Date: April 16, 2026

Overview

BloxFeed complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This notice describes the information we collect from children under 13, how we use it, and the choices available to parents and guardians.

Age Verification

Before creating an account, all users are asked to provide their date of birth. If a user indicates they are under 13 years of age, the App does not create an account or collect any personal information until verifiable parental consent is obtained.

Parental Consent Process

When a user under 13 attempts to sign up, BloxFeed:

  1. Blocks account creation and displays a parental consent screen
  2. Asks the child to provide a parent or guardian's email address
  3. Sends a consent verification email to the parent/guardian with a secure, time-limited link
  4. Only activates the account after the parent clicks the consent link and confirms

Until consent is obtained, no personal data from the child is stored on our servers beyond the parent's email address (which is used solely for the consent process and deleted if consent is not granted within 48 hours).

Information Collected from Children

With parental consent, we collect the same limited information from children as from all users:

  • Roblox user ID, username, display name, and avatar URL (from Roblox OAuth)
  • Video metadata for content they publish (title, game reference, platform URLs)
  • Encrypted OAuth tokens for connected publishing platforms

We do not collect location data, phone numbers, physical addresses, or any additional personal information from children.

Parental Rights

Parents and guardians have the right to:

  • Review the personal information we have collected from their child
  • Request deletion of their child's account and all associated data
  • Revoke consent and prevent further data collection
  • Refuse to allow any further collection or use of their child's information

To exercise any of these rights, parents can contact us at privacy@bloxfeed.app or use the account deletion feature in the App (accessible from the child's profile screen).

Data Minimization

We follow the principle of data minimization: we collect only the information necessary to provide the service. Child accounts have the same data footprint as adult accounts — no additional data is collected. All video processing occurs on the device; only metadata and publishing tokens are stored server-side.
